The Chichester and District Law Society is a professional organisation representing solicitors practising or living in the Chichester area. The Society organises local CPD training, social activities and newsletters for its members.
Our members are representative of the area and include employed solicitors, sole practitioners, firms specialising in particular areas of law as well as general practice.
As set out in the Society’s rules and regulations, the society’s objectives include:

  • To protect the character, status, rights and interests of the members of the Society, and the profession generally.
  • To preserve honourable practice amongst solicitors.
  • To consider and take any action which may be thought desirable on all questions affecting the interest of the profession at large, or the alteration or administration of the law.
  • To promote improved legal education.

Use your Law Society

Your local Law Society is here to support local practitioners and provide a link to the Law Society in Chancery Lane.

As such we want to hear from our Members about issues which they feel we should be promoting, discussing and forwarding to Chancery Lane. We reply to consultations on behalf of our members and as such are always keen to hear from members who would like to contribute to our responses.

We also strive to raise the profile of the profession within the local area and as such are open to assist members with initiatives which further this aim. If you would like to contact us about such a matter, please contact any of the committee using the details on our committee pages.
