SMR Solicitors is the oldest solicitors’ firm in Chichester, able to trace its origins back to around 1730. This is when the firm Rapers was founded, initially practising in North Pallant and then moving to West Street in 1829, where it remained until 2009. In 2001, Rapers merged with Stone Milward, established in the early 1990s by Roger Stone and Martin Milward, to form SMR Solicitors.
SMR Solicitors now operates out of its main office in Westgate, a branch in the High Street in Selsey, Bognor Regis and in East Wittering and covers conveyancing, wills and probate advice, and a full litigation service including family, divorce, employment and contractual disputes.
